Education and Spiritual Formation
The Great Commission is our guide (see Matthew 28:16-20) as to the end means for Christian education and spiritual formation opportunities. All who are in Christ are called to be ambassadors of Christ and called to go out into the world and be His witnesses. All Christian communities have a responsibility to help its members live out our common calling. Within the local Christian community, we are gathered, equipped, and sent through learning and practicing daily discipleship, as well as through equipping fellow disciples.
The New Creation community encourages every person to discern their spiritual gifts and then pray about how God may be calling them to be ministers and missionaries within the Christian community, and to the world. When we exercise our spiritual gifts in the ways that build up the body of Christ, we share in leading the way for others to become a new creation through God's transformative love.
Some of the methods of instruction we use include inspirational sermons, prayer groups, and bible study. Areas for study may include intro courses on the Bible, Christianity, Presbyterian tradition, and classic Christian spiritual practices, including how we share our faith stories. For information on what our current offerings are, check out the weekly newsletter, calendar, and our Meetup.com site.

Children's Church
Participating children will be divided into 2 groups based on years of age: 4-6, and 7-10. The groups will alternate (as of now) each week. Children of all ages stay in church together for the praise songs and beginning worship. The designated group will then go to the classroom. The group that does not go to the classroom will stay in church. New Creation’s newly formed Christian Ed Cmt decided we will have two adults in the classroom each Sunday, and that any parents that have infants are welcome to utilize the cry-room at St. Michael’s or bring their baby to the classroom to be cared for by one of the adults. We will begin using the “Buzz” curriculum from Group publishing in January.
