"...we will in all things grow up into
Him who is the He that is, Christ."

- Eph. 4:15

As believers in Jesus Christ, we recognize our need to grow in our faith and to provide opportunities for others to grow as well. For this reason, we offer and encourage activities where our faith and commitment to Jesus can flourish and grow.

Small Groups

Becoming part of New Creation Church means connecting with others. Our goal is to encourage people to grow in their faith through small groups that meet on a weekly basis. If you would like more information on what small groups are currently meeting, feel free to ask, and chec out the Caledar page for the next date and info.

SUPPER CLUB: food, conversation, and community.

FILM NIGHT: great flick, lively discussion, good company

THEOLOGY ON TAP: free-thinking discussion about theology/God/church, over beverages and food, and among friends old and new, meeting in quality public houses around the area (Note: we strongly encourage all participants to follow the wisdom of the early Church father, Tertullian: "All good things in moderation".)

SOUL FOOD: chow, beats, community, spirit, checking out local bands and venues, and live music.

PRAY AND PLAY: move your tail, enjoy creation, foster community, explore the great outdoors. Golf outings, YMCA family days, out of doors day trips, laser tag, hikes, overnights, retreats, camp outs. . . are scheduled throughout the year as members get ideas to go someplace or do something that is re-creational for body, mind and soul. If you have an idea for an outing, organize a few folks, plan it, and post it with us.

CREATIVE IDEAS! : This is your opportunity to be creative! Tell us what you would like to do or be a part of (be it educational, fellowship, worship, or service) and we will help you organize and make it happen.

Youth Group

Just like adults, teens need a time and place where they can connect and grow in their faith as well. We partner with the other Presbyterian youth groups in our area for larger events, and we also offer small group events for those affiliated or members of our particular church community. Our youth group offers a variety of ways for this to happen -- from camping to building homes for low-income people. Call or email us for more information.

Self-Directed Studies

Pastor Christian will work with any individual or groups and create a curriculum or course of study for any topic of interests that deals with being a disciple of Jesus Christ. Contact him through the "Contact Us" page of this site.

On-Line Studies

The Thoughtful Christian is a web-based resource center located at TheThoughtfulChristian.com, and created by Westminster John Knox Press, a publishing house of the Presbyterian Church (USA). It is filled with studies ranging from one to four sessions each for adult groups and individuals. Each session is designed for forty-five minutes to one hour and comes with a three- to four-page Participant Handout and a two- to five-page Leader’s Guide with lesson plans and resources. The studies can be downloaded as Acrobat PDF files, printed out, and photocopied for use in classes or for personal study and devotion. In addition, leaders can e-mail the Participant Handout to students in advance of the next meeting. New studies, including rapid responses to current events, will be added to the site on a regular, ongoing basis.

The Jesus Walk Bible Study Series is designed to engage serious followers in interactive Bible study in a way which changes their lives. Dr. Wilson helps you study the passage carefully, understanding the meanings of the significant Hebrew or Greek words. Then helps you draw out the implications of the passage with questions designed to induce you to apply the lessons to your life.

The newer online studies in this series use the "immersion approach," trying to simulate always-with-him approach that Jesus used with his disciples -- a weekly lesson every Saturday, followed by individual questions on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. You can respond to these questions in the online Forum as well as read the response of other JesusWalkers who are studying the same lesson. For those who would rather study at their own pace or are leading small groups and study school classes, many of these have been adapted to book format.

Older studies in the series don't yet include the weekly lessons and daily questions, but the explanation and questions are there to stimulate your study. We invite you to join thousands upon thousands of JesusWalkers who have studied these lessons in nearly 120 countries around the world.
